I don’t normally post or make videos about things I’m enjoying at the moment, but lately I’ve been working out a lot which has been great for my body and mind and I want to talk to you about some things that make my workouts a lot more enjoyable and productive.
First of all my Nike Classic Swoosh sports bra. I’ve had this bra for about two years and it’s my first and only Nike thing I own. When I bought it I went for a size XS instead of S because I assumed after a few washes it would stretch. Well, after all this time and many washes, it has kept its stretching and supporting abilities intact. It’s amazing! I don’t wear it for every workout since I actually prefer no bra for working out but I always use it if I’m going to include any plyometrics (jumping exercises) in my routine and it gives me great support, it fits well under all my tops and it absorbs sweat very well.
The Rip 60 has become a favourite in my workout routines. It’s easy and light to set up and I do my strength training and cardio at the same time plus I can train my full body with just this piece of equipment. This is great as well for traveling and a great tool if you like to work out from home.
Fasted workouts were something I kept away from because I thought I could never do them. I was so wrong! For the last couple of months or so all my workouts have been fasted and I really have noticed my body is a lot more toned and the results are more visible. Plus this encourages me to train early in the day before breaking my fast a few hours after my workout.
I have been very inspired by calisthenics and movement training. I love that it focuses on mobility, good range of motion, flexibility, skills and movements that make the body less prone to injury and help prevent stiffness which we are all so prone to from sedentary habits like spending too much time at the computer daily. Definitely a great thing thing to add to your routine whether you train at the gym or not. This and this are a couple of amazing, inspiring youtube channels on this subject.
And my last favourite is Rootz protein powder. Although protein powders are not a whole, real food, I find them very convenient and as long as they contain good ingredients, I definitely like them. This one by Rootz ticks that box plus it tastes like a banana and chocolate milkshake … so good!
So these are some things I’m really enjoying lately and that are helping me get fitter and stronger while enjoying the process. Have you got any fitness favourites at the moment?
