In this video, I share 5 herbs from the garden that I use often for beauty treatments at home. I love growing these herbs and having them available at all times. The herbs I mentioned in the video are:
Rosemary: It’s amazing when used as a hair rinse after shampooing and conditioning hair. Make a strong tea and apply it on wet scalp and hair. Great for stimulating wait growth and making hair shiny.
Stinging nettle: Great to drink as a tea when I’m retaining water. A strong cup of nettle tea combined with plenty of water helps me eliminate any excess water my body is holding on to.
Calendula: One of my favourite ones, I also make a strong tea with it and drink it, as well as apply it to my skin when I’m dealing with an acne breakout or irritation on the skin.
Aloe vera: Really easy to grow, the amazing plat has incredible soothing and calming benefits on the skin. I cut a piece of a leaf and rub it over my face at night before bed. It’s also great for hydrating the skin after being in the sun.
Raspberry: I love eating the fruit but the leaves also make a great tea which is helpful for PMS, sunburn when applied topically and also calming irritation on the skin which is great since I am prone to rosacea.
Do you use any herbs for beauty treatments?
