I have not worn makeup on my face for about a month and a half. Sometimes I wear mascara, but the skin of my face has been bare for this time. I didn’t plan this, it just happened. It started during the holidays when I was very relaxed and didn’t bother with it. Then, I went on a holiday to a very hot and humid place which would have melted any makeup on the skin and after that, I came back home and lost the habit of putting it on.
It is amazing what a difference it makes not only to the skin to skip makeup for a good period of time but also it’s so relaxing not having to think about it. I get ready in the morning so fast now! I also don’t have to worry about leaving marks on clothes and cleansing my face at night is such an easy thing to do.
Not wearing makeup for at least two weeks I believe has a huge effect on the look of the skin. It makes it more clear and makes it look fresh in addition to avoiding all the complications of make-up.
If you are struggling with any skin issue, this is definitely worth a try so that the skin gets to rest and speed its healing. Is it easy going out covered in spots? No, it isn’t. I know that because I used to go out without makeup on when I had acne and I felt very self conscious (the truth is that nobody even cares!). But, if it can help the skin heal itself, is it not worth it? I’d say yes!
